The Future Perfect Tense se koristi:
– da se izrazi radnja koja će biti završena prije nekog određenog trenutka ili neke druge radnje u budućnosti, npr.
You will have finished your report by this time next week.
The taxi will have arrived by the time you finish dressing.
– da se izrazi radnja koja traje do određenog trenutka u budućnosti, npr.
I will have been here for six months on June 23rd.
When I leave the school next week I will have taught this class for ten years.
– da se izrazi mogućnost ili pretpostavka vezana za buduća zbivanja, npr.
It's five o'clock. They will have arrived home by now.
Napomena:
Glagolski oblici kojima se izražava budućnost ne koriste se u vremenskim rečenicama koje počinju sa when, while, before, after, by the time, as soon as, if, unless itd. To pravilo vrijedi i za budući perfekt (The Future Perfect). U ovom slučaju ispravno je koristiti sadašnji perfekt (The Present Perfect).
Primjer:
I will repair your bicycle when I will have finished this job. (pogrešno)
I will repair your bicycle when I have finished this job. (ispravno)
Tvorba
The Future Perfect Tense se tvori po sljedećem obrascu:
will have + past participle
Upitan oblik ćemo dobiti zamjenom mjesta will i subjekta, a odričan dodavanjem rječce not na will.
Primjer:
His friend will have done all the work by next Saturday.
Will his friend have done all the work by next Saturday?
His friend will not (won't) have done all the work by next Saturday.
